Hi, I’m Amanda!

While teaching at an emergency management agency who served an extremely rural area on the other side of the country, I realized the course I was teaching wasn’t adding up for the students. As we discussed expensive social listening software, dedicated social media professionals assigned to emergencies, and graphic programs to aid in brand building, I looked around the room.

They had three people on their staff who had other responsibilities besides communications.

And shared an office.

And worked with an ever-shrinking budget.

They had kindly invited their neighboring agencies, and 50 of us squeezed into their small training room.

This course wasn’t a good fit for their needs, and, I realized…there isn’t much assistance out there for agencies like theirs: Agencies that do good for the world on a tiny budget and with a tiny team.

I’d like to offer my services to the do-gooders out there making a difference: Nonprofits, places of worship, and public service agencies.
